Persimmon: Asian Literature, Arts, and Culture aims not only to inform but also to be a showcase for works of literary merit.

Types of articles: The focus of Persimmon is contemporary culture and social issues in East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Indian subcontinent. Some of the areas Persimmon covers are literature, the visual and performing arts, architecture, city planning, historic preservation, the environment, the workplace, family issues, women's roles, the elderly, and the place of religion in society.
